Feral Vibes

short frame-by-frame animation inspired by the chaotic energy of 90’s MTV bumpers, underground cartoon intros, and late-night television oddities.

The piece features a grinning coyote with exaggerated facial movement and dripping saliva while the phrase “FERAL VIBES” glitches in and out across the screen. I wanted the animation to feel fast, abrupt, slightly unsettling, and playful. Like discovering a strange animated show at midnight that only aired for one season before disappearing into static.

I created the animation using a mix of frame-by-frame techniques, motion graphics, sound effects, and music editing to capture that rough, slick retro broadcast feel. The project was also an exploration of timing, visual rhythm, and stylized character expression through limited but impactful movement.
